My name is Kyle Cowling, and I am co-owner and DP/cinematographer of Phantasos Media, a small production company based out of Long Beach CA. I grew up riding and racing motocross and, during my junior and senior year of high school took photography and fell in love with the art of still imagery.

Back then, we learned on film cameras. We would learn how to properly expose, set the ISO, aperture, etc. From there, we would have to take the film out, put it on a reel, and learn out to make our own prints in the dark room. It was something that I loved so much I knew that was what I wanted to do with my life. Eventually, I would land a job as associate editor/photo editor at TransWorld Motocross Magazine (I was there from 2007 - 2009) traveling all across the country conducting photo shoots, interviews, and more. However, eventually, I wanted to tell more of a story with my images thus, in 2009 I started to dip my toes into the world of video production and that rekindled my love and passion.

Since then, I have DP'd a feature length narrative film, DP'd and edited national television commercials for American Suzuki Corporation, Discount/Americas Tire, and more. I have also shot multiple documentary projects. Currently, I am shooting a docu-series entitled, Spectrum, which is available on Vimeo OnDemand and Amazon Video, and worked with clients such as American Honda Corporation, Red Bull, Boost Mobile, Travelodge Hotels, Fox Head Inc, and more.
