Q: Can I pick-up my equipment prior to 2:00pm?
A: No, 2:00pm is the earliest available pick-up time. We are closed daily from 11:00am to 2:00pm as we check-in, clean, and prep afternoon equipment.
Q: Can I drop off my equipment the night before it is due?
A: No, we are closed after 5:00pm and are unavailable for evening drop-offs.
Q: Can I pick-up/drop-off on Sunday?
A: No, we are closed on Sundays.

Founded in 2017, Spartan Cinema’s goal is to produce personal film content, and provide other filmmakers with the tools to create their own.
Our rental philosophy hinges on being informed. The more one knows, the more one can prepare to tackle the inevitable obstacles of filmmaking. Browsing Sharegrid will show you that online rentals come in all shapes and sizes. We design our listings with great care and have spent a lot of effort to create packages that are intuitively put together and allow for customization for specific needs. Please read the listings prior to booking and if you are unsure if the equipment is suitable, please contact us for friendly advice or forward our listing to a member of your camera department.
We request that pick-ups and drop-offs be made at our location in Beverly Grove. The address will be provided upon booking. Return equipment before 11:00am on the return day. This is an important non-negotiable return time and late rentals will be immediately applied a late rental fee as explained below.
Please manage your time wisely so you can return equipment on time. If you are not planning on picking up or dropping off equipment yourself, you must add that person as an authorized user.
Equipment is available for pick-up anytime between 2:00-5:00pm.
Equipment is always due back by 11:00am (Eleven AM) on your return day. Sharegrid will send you a blanket email reminding you that equipment is due by Noon. Do not be confused, all of our equipment is due back by 11:00am (ELEVEN). If you are late but return before 2:00pm, you will be charged a late fee that is half your rental day rate. If you are late beyond 2:00pm, you are subject to a late fee of double your daily rental rate until returned. Our operation is not able to accommodate late rentals - please plan, or rent accordingly. Our inventory and bandwidth is limited and appreciate your adherence to our hours.
SUNDAYS: We are closed on Sundays and are unavailable for pick-ups or drop-offs on this day. If you request equipment for pick-up on Sunday, you will be notified that we are closed and that you will be welcome to pick-up your equipment during our Saturday afternoon hours instead (2:00pm-5:00pm). Any requests for a Sunday Drop-off will need to be amended for a Monday morning return (9:00am-11:00am). Communication on Sunday will be limited.
Cleaning Fees: Equipment returned dirty will be charged a proportional cleaning fee, with a $100 Minimum. Please treat my equipment with the same level of care as you would your own! Return equipment in a clean fashion. If you are filming outdoors, you will be responsible for any debris, dust, dirt or mud on our cases or equipment. Take proper precautions to keep equipment and case exteriors and interiors clean at all times.
Lenses: You are responsible for inspecting any lenses that you rent from us. Our lenses are meticulously cleaned and maintained. Inspect the lenses before you return them to us, after you have finished using them. Safely clean the lenses to make sure there are no blemishes you are missing. Please: Do not return lenses with scratches or damage.
Missing Equipment: If you believe your rental package is missing an item listed in your rental, inform us immediately, on the day of your rental pick-up and we will work with you to arrange a solution. If you return your rental package to us with equipment missing, we will contact you to inform you so you can arrange an expedient return. If that item(s) is essential to the rental package and will prevent it from being rented, you may be charged an additional rental day on that item. Please return all missing equipment to us in a responsible manner by keeping us informed of the lost item's status and returning to us during one of our two daily operating windows. If you are unable to return it to us in a timely manner (24-48 hours), you will be charged for the replacement item's cost, plus any applicable shipping and sales tax.
DRONES & BOATS: We do not allow our equipment to be mounted on any drones or boats, and as such do not allow rentals supporting these projects. By renting our equipment, you consent to this stipulation.
PARKING: Our location is currently out of a private apartment building on a street that has permit restrictions on one side. Please do not park in our neighbor’s driveways. It is not an ideal set-up, but we will walk the equipment to your vehicle if you need to park down the street or around the corner, just let us know. We want to be respectful of our neighbors as we find a location more suitable to our customers and the online rental experience. We will not unload equipment to you if you are parked in our neighbor's driveway.
Please be punctual. If you are running late, send us a text message or call to let us know. Being late affects our ability to schedule and support other renters and projects.
