Question: Can I pick up my equipment anytime earlier before 2:00pm?
Answer: No. We are unable to make accommodations for early pick-ups. That means you. This is our company policy and we are unable to make any exceptions.
Question: Can I drop-off my equipment early the night before? Our shoot ends at X:XXpm.
Answer: No, we are not available or open outside of our posted hours. We close at 4:00PM.
Question: Will you rent this item to me off of Sharegrid? They haven't approved our Insurance yet.
Answer: No, sorry, we are not entertaining off-Sharegrid rentals at this moment. You will need to have your Third Party policy approved by Sharegrid, or purchase separate insurance.
Question: Will you rent this item to me for $XX?

Our rental philosophy hinges on being informed. The more one knows, the more one can prepare to tackle the inevitable obstacles of filmmaking. Browsing Sharegrid will show you that online rentals come in all shapes and sizes. We design our listings with great care and have spent a lot of effort to create packages that are intuitively put together and allow for customization for specific needs. Please read the listings prior to booking and if you are unsure if the equipment is suitable, please contact us for friendly advice or forward our listing to a member of your camera department.
TERMS YOU WILL BE AGREEING TO:
You are agreeing that you have read our company profile page in full. These policies are not lip service. We will and do enforce them.
You are agreeing that you will return equipment between 9:00 and 11:00am of your return day. If you do not return by 11:00am, but are communicative and can coordinate a return to me prior to 2:00pm, you will be charged a lesser half-day rental rate as your late fee.
However, if you still fail to return equipment by 2:00pm, you will instead be charged double the daily rate of your equipment order every day that the equipment is late until it has been returned, seven days a week.
You agree that equipment will be returned in a clean and organized fashion and if returned in any other manner, will be responsible for a minimum $100 cleaning fee.
You agree that you understand our non-flexible hours of operation, with a Pick-Up Window between 2:00-4:00pm and a Return Window between 9:00-11:00am.
You agree that you are not putting any of our equipment on a DRONE or a BOAT.
We request that pick-ups and drop-offs be made at our location in Beverly Grove. The address will be provided upon booking. Return equipment before Eleven AM on the return day.
Manage your time wisely so you can return equipment on time. If you are not planning on picking up or dropping off equipment yourself, you must add that person as an authorized user.
Inform your authorized users of our hours. You are responsible for the equipment returning on time so make sure any others you authorize are aware of our pick up and return hours.
EQUIPMENT IS AVAILABLE FOR PICK-UP BETWEEN 2:00PM AND 4:00PM
We no longer allow earlier rental pick-ups or any evening equipment exchanges.
EQUIPMENT IS DUE BACK BETWEEN 9:00-11:00AM (ELEVEN AM) on your return day. Late returns are subject to a late fee of double your daily rate until returned.
Cleaning Fees: Equipment returned dirty will be charged a proportional cleaning fee.
FILTERS: Filters still routinely come back damaged and dirty. If you are renting filters from us, you must understand that we will be taking the time and effort to inspect them carefully. We have little sympathy for individuals who return filters damaged or dirty. We will charge you the full replacement cost of the filter. The damaged filter does not become yours after it has been replaced. It now lives in our depressing damaged filter bin.
You are responsible for inspecting lenses and filters that you rent from us. Our lenses and filters are meticulously cleaned and maintained. Inspect and clean the filters before you return them to us. If you return a filter dirty to us, than you have failed to inspect the filter for damage and have failed renting from us. “We did not use that filter” is NOT an acceptable answer if we find a new mark on any filter returned to us.
MISSING EQUIPMENT: If you believe your rental package is missing an item listed in your rental, inform us immediately, on the day of your rental pick-up and we will work with you to arrange a solution. If you return your rental package to us with equipment missing, we will contact you to inform you so you can arrange an expedient return. Please do not tell us after your rental item has returned that the missing items were never there in the first place. If that item(s) is essential to the rental package and will prevent it from being rented, you may be charged an additional rental day on that item. Please return all missing equipment to us in a responsible manner by keeping us informed of the lost item's status and returning to us during one of our two daily operating windows. If you are unable to return it to us in a timely manner (24-72 hours), you will be charged for the replacement item's cost, plus any applicable shipping and sales tax.
SUB-RENTALS: We are unable to support companies and individuals wishing to sub-rent our equipment to their own clients. You consent and agree to be the end-user and responsible party with our equipment.
DRONES & BOATS: We do not allow our equipment to be mounted on any drones or boats, and as such do not allow rentals supporting these projects. By renting our equipment, you consent to this stipulation.
PARKING: Our location is currently out of a private apartment building on a street that has permit restrictions on one side. Please avoid parking illegally or in our neighbor’s driveways. We understand it’s not an ideal set-up, but we will walk the equipment to your vehicle if you need to park down the street or around the corner, just let us know. We want to be respectful of our neighbors as we find a location more suitable to our customers and the online rental experience.
Please be punctual. If you are running late, send us a text message or call to let us know. Being late affects our ability to schedule and support other renters and projects.
While our policies may seem stringent, know that we very rarely have to charge fees and make an effort to be fair with everybody. These rules help us maintain both quality in service as well as a manageable lifestyle. Thank you for your understanding.
