Mary C. Russell is a genre female ﬁlm director, originally from the Bay Area but grew up a little differently then the average American girl. Moving to Singapore at ten years old as an expat. Currently now located in Los Angeles two years out of Columbia College Hollywood graduating in 2014 with a BFA majoring in directing.
She screen-wrote, directed, and produced a horror comedy film called, "Carved," that has screened at horror conventions including: Days of the Dead: Los Angeles 2015 and Midsummer Scream 2016. Drawing inspiration from the 1971, "Vanishing Point," and Tarantino's "Death Proof." It involves a soul of a satanic inmate that possesses innocent people on the road to Las Vegas.
