A producer, project manager, and creative lead, I have over seven years of professional experience in film / television. I've developed award-winning feature films, documentaries, web series, and social media content.
Recently, I co-produced The Preppie Connection, which premiered at the 2015 Hamptons Int’l Film Festival and was released by IFC Films in March 2016.
I joined Coalition Films in 2010 where I served as a creative executive. I traveled to Angola to produce the feature-length documentary Death Metal Angola. The film first gained attention when it screened at Doc NYC - New York's premier documentary festival - in 2013. Death Metal Angola was acquired by The Vladar Company and had a theatrical release in New York & Los Angeles.
I was also an associate producer for CliffsNotes Films, an interactive series of animated short films based on the CliffsNotes study guides. CliffsNotes Films was produced by Mark Burnett and AOL with Wiley Publishing. The series was nominated for Best Animated Web Series and Best Interactive Social Media Experience at IAWTV Awards and Best Branded Entertainment at The Streamy's 2012.
I like to romanticize my small town background: I grew up in a blue-collar, two-stoplight town in Michigan. I studied film production at the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco and Michigan State University before spending a few years bouncing around, state to state, experiencing our beautiful country. I've lived in North Carolina, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Texas, Kansas, back to California and I now call New York home.
I subscribe to the idea that, “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” Emerson might have said that. If he didn’t, I’ll accept credit.
Based in New York
