With strong roots in editorial and post-production, and an insatiable appetite for concept-development and production, Boston bred and LA based filmmaker Matt Silverman is unrelentingly dedicated to creative storytelling and quality craftsmanship across every level of content creation.
Cutting his teeth as a concert photographer and music video director for bands such as Five Finger Death Punch, Foster the People, Tears for Fears and Heartour and festivals such as Coachella, Silverman quickly found his talents focused serving brands, including Microsoft, Goldenvoice, Safeway, Lexus, McDonalds, Spotify, Pepsi, Poetic Kinetics and Atari.
Silverman is well versed with social media driven, influencer-minded, brand conscious companies including Ayzenberg, Signal Entertainment Marketing, Ignited, Protagonist, The Audience, DJ2, Walton Isaacson, Katalyst Media and Radical Comics. Past influencer clients include Shane Dawson, Greyson Chance and Rhett & Link.
In television, Silverman produced, directed and edited the unscripted pilot Contest Kings for Pepsi’s Cobalt Studios, and continues to write, produce and edit content for the McDonald’s 365Black Awards.
In film, Silverman spent over five years developing projects with internationally renowned filmmaker Chuck Russell, culminating in Russell’s John Travolta film, I Am Wrath, which Silverman helped produce, and where he served as editor for one of the film’s trailers.
Currently, Silverman is collaborating with several commercial agencies while working on his first feature, Cumulus, a sci-fi/heist film which earned recognition as a semifinalist both in ScreenCraft’s 2018 Sci-fi Screenplay Contest as well as their Action/Thriller Screenplay Contest.
