Thanks so much Matt buddy! Hope to pick up another rental from you on the Valley Side. Next to North Hollywood and Sherman. Hope you like storytelling, because I do! Come on back if you want more stories to be told:
The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis
"What do you mean, Lu?" asked Peter.
"What I said," answered Lucy. "It was just after breakfast when I went into the wardrobe and I've been away for hours and hours, and had tea, and all sorts of things have happened."
"Don't be silly, Lucy,"... "No, Peter, I'm not," she said. "It's--it's a magic wardrobe. There's a Faun and a Witch and it's called Narnia; come and see." (Page 26)
"O-o-oh!" said Susan suddenly, and everyone asked her what was the matter.
"I'm sitting against a tree," said Susan, "and look! It's getting light--over there."
"By jove, you're right," said Peter, "and look there--and there. It's trees all round. And this wet stuff is snow. Why, I do believe we've got into Lucy's wood after all." (Page 60)
"How perfectly dreadful!" said Susan as they at last came back in despair. "Oh, how I wish we'd never come."
"What on earth are we to do, Mr. Beaver?" said Peter.
"Do?" said Mr. Beaver, who was already putting on his snow-boots, "do? We must be off at once. We haven't a moment to spare!" ...
"Don't you understand?" said Mr. Beaver. "He's gone to her, to the White Witch. He has betrayed us all." (Page 91-91)
It would have been a dreadful thing for the Beavers and the children if the night had remained fine, for the wolves would have been able to follow their trail--and ten to one would have overtaken them before they had got to the cave. (Page 124)
But then the whole party saw the sledge stopping and who was in it, all the gaiety went out of their faces. (Page 125)
Only five minutes later he noticed a dozen crocuses growing round the foot of an old tree--gold and purple and white. (Page 132)
you are the firstborn and you will be High King over all the rest." And once more Peter said nothing, for at that moment a strange noise woke the silence suddenly. It was like a bugle, but richer... he did understand, and set off running as hard as he could to the pavilion. And there he saw a dreadful sight. (Page 142-143)
"Now! Follow me all and we will set about what remains of this war! It will not take us long to crush the human vermin and the traitors now that the great Fool, the great Cat, lies dead."
It was quite definitely lighter by now. Each of the girls noticed for the first time the white face of the other. They could see the mice nibbling away; dozens and dozens, even hundreds, of little field mice. (Page 175)
See ya later, Schrodinger's Matt :-) ;-) See you later, Lara (;
