Daniel Fries is an award-winning New York based, creative, entrepreneur, and filmmaker with over 20 years of experience writing, directing and producing commercial and narrative content.
Daniel began as a creative director and partner at Eyeball, a pioneering motion design studio, where he managed fortune 500 clients in the advertising and entertainment industries.
In 2001, Daniel established Leroy and Clarkson, an Emmy Award-winning boutique creative agency for the entertainment industry. As the owner and Executive Creative Director, Daniel partnered with nearly every major brand in television, creating highly recognizable, award winning brand strategy and positioning, 360 advertising campaigns, branded and experiential content and design. Daniel’s work has been featured in the likes of Adweek, Creativity, Fastco, and Slate to name a few.
In 2014, Daniel, in partnership with Teachers College, Columbia, won a notable grant from the Rockefeller Foundation to create a media based curriculum for Resilience, one of their leading global initiatives. The project yielded four short films and a feature documentary designed to educate and inspire leaders to develop Resilience initiatives in their cities.
Daniel sold Leroy and Clarkson in 2016 to focus on filmmaking and content. He is currently developing several narrative and documentary films.
