This is a great lightweight gimbal! I've done research on this, the Tilta G2X and the Zhiyun Crane 2 and this one has the heaviest payload and is the most reliable of the three.

The Ronin S comes with feet to mount to the base with 1/4." Underneath there is also a 3/8" mount which you can use to mount the ronin s to a tripod or monopod or anything else for that matter.
Battery on this will last all day and probably the second day. They got rid of the need for a second battery by making it's charge last beyond the span of a day. Just charge it in the evening and it'll be ready in an hour or two.
There are power ports on the Ronin S. DJI doesn't make any products that support them. I've found through experience that they will power the Tilta Nano receiver follow focus, but may damage the thumbwheel.
The Ronin S comes with cables to control start/stop and gain focus control over a number of camera companys such as Canon, Panasonic, Sony and Nikon.
Some gimbal alternatives to the Ronin S include:

To get the balance right, it is all about where the tilt is at with the camera, but fortunately, you can do a balance test in the Ronin App. You can also adjust speed and acceleration and turn off Smooth Track.
The Ronin S also has a button on the front that if you double click it will re-center the camera and if you hold it, the camera stays facing one direction. And if you triple tap, it goes into selfie mode.
If you try to control Sony cameras, you'll only be able to get Start/Stop, and it only works sometimes. The 5D mk IV I believe is one of the only Canon cameras that can get focus control.
My Ronin S package comes with a plate that mounts around the ronin with 1/4" mounting points.
