These lenses are just about at the speed of super speed. The only lens that isn't a T/1.5 is the 16mm. These lenses all around are good at matching. They only have subtle differences aside from their focal lengths that make them stand out. For the most part these lenses are character-less, which is debatably a good thing. When the lens looks neutral, your images come to life and take hold of the creative eye. I've heard other camera operators say that these lenses have a slight yellow tint, and from what I can tell, it's true, you do lose a decent amount of skin tones right off the bat, but you can bring them back with Lumetri Color Wheel & Match. It is fantastic that these lenses are geared up for cinema style. It means that I can attach follow focuses on gimbals and have ultimate control of the lens. Here are my thoughts on each lens as well as objections. Rokinon 16mm (APS-C) T/2.2 This lens is a great solution for APS-C (small) sized sensors. It offers a considerably wide angle that does decently well in low light. On a full frame camera, this lens vignettes. On the Red Raven, Panasonic m/43 and Blackmagic pocket cameras as well as the Canon 7D, this lens works like a charm and really helps a lot, especially in tight corners, gimbal and slider shots. One of my favorites is also to frame a wide medium with this lens. Rokinon 24mm T/1.5 This lens is great for macro work and even getting a shallow depth of field at a medium far distance. Expect to get fairly soft focus when shooting wide open. It's a look that you can sharpen in post. If you want the soft bokeh. Sharpen in post. If you want a sharper image, stop down a hair. Rokinon 35mm T/1.5 This is Rokinon's most exceptional lens. It is super sharp even wide open! The colours are gorgeous and it is very fun to shoot at night time because of all the circles of confusion and the fact that it's so wide. Rokinon 50mm T/1.5 Another great lens. It was a late lens to the party but it's still a 100% lens even wide open. Very sharp. This is one lens I wish could focus a little bit closer. It's not as bad as the 85mm but it's fairly close to about the same filling of the frame. Rokinon 85mm T1.5 Great lens, even wide open it still maintains sharpness. My only complaint is I wish it could focus closer. It can only focus as close as 3' away as a minimum. 16, 24, 35, 50, 85mm Cine-Style Lenses Canon EF Mount Covers Full-Frame Sensors T1.5 to T22 Exposure Range Multi-Layer Coating to Reduce Flare Dual Side Focus and T-Stop Scales De-Clicked Aperture Ring Manual Focus and Aperture
