What Does “Please Execute APR” Mean on Your Sony FS7?

Most important thing to do? Don’t panic.

Why? It’s COMPLETELY normal.

When the FS7 politely requests that you “execute APR”, it’s reminding you to do some basic maintenance for your camera. The APR function actually minimizes the appearance of bright or dark sensor pixels, as well as sensor noise, so you should do this regularly. It will especially pop up if the camera hasn’t been turned on in a few days, and is always recommended when changing locations due to lighting, temperature change, etc.

To execute your APR, just cover or cap the lens, and press SEL/SET when prompted to utilize the APR function.

Do this regularly, and your image quality should be consistently superb!
