3 Simple Steps to Format an SD Card in the C100 Mark II

Formatting an SD card in the Canon C100 Mark II is a very simple operation that should be part of every pre-shoot checklist.

1 - OPEN MENU
To format a card, open up your menus and scroll down to the wrench icon for “other settings.”

2 - INITIALIZE MEDIA
At the very bottom of this long menu, you will find an option to initialize media. Select it, and then choose which card you wish to format. 

There is more than one way to format an SD card

3 - CHOOSE QUICK OR COMPLETE FORMAT
A Quick Format clears all of the data from your card, but does not check for bugs or bad sectors. A Complete Format, on the other hand, makes a much more thorough scan of the card.
